We’re very pleased to announce our latest partnership with COSMA, a leading, Italy-based producer of flexible folding machines and custom automation solutions. Facteon is now an exclusive distributor of a range of COSMA equipment in the China market.
We’re pleased to be working with the COSMA team to develop their product in the China market. We’ve utilised COSMA products in numerous installations over the years. We have always admired and relied on COSMA’s flexibility and its high-quality offering. For us, this is a natural fit as we work to expand our range of intelligent factory solutions.
The agreement covers COSMA’s range of flexible folders which are used for high quality sheet metal forming. A significant advantage of this technology is the efficient handling of multiple products on a single line. The folders are also fully electric. This negates the need for costly hydraulic systems, while providing greater control over product output and significantly reducing maintenance-related downtime and costs.
COSMA’s full product range is manufactured in its Vigevano, Italy facility. Facteon’s Qingdao, China operation will provide integration services, installation and after-sales support.
The combination of COSMA’s premium equipment and Facteon’s China footprint and Industrial IoT capabilities provide the ultimate manufacturing advantage to customers seeking flexible metal forming solutions with the added benefit of local support.
Founded in 1980, COSMA is a world leader in producing metal forming machinery, integrated and stand-alone folding systems. COSMA also offers automated lines for the manufacture of household appliances. These lines integrate piercing, bending, clinching and various welding processes to provide a customized turn-key solution.
Based in Vigevano, Italy, COSMA operates two manufacturing facilities and a full machine shop that ensures a quality supply of parts to the wider group. This allows COSMA to maintain a high degree of quality across its solutions.
Here at Facteon, we look to offer a range of equipment and technologies to our customers globally. We’re interested to hear from companies offering unique and innovative solutions in the automotive, medical device, metal forming and automation space who are seeking additional market access in Australasia, China and the United States.
